Anglesey, Wales
23rd - 25th September 2022

Off for a long weekend now that schools are back and everywhere should be less bust

Set off early(ish) on Friday, stopped for coffee and to set a plan for the day.

A late change of the half hour ago plan to stop at a NT property which happens to have a Burial Chamber in its grounds

My first impression here was that it looked like a profile of Andy Capp

The field was full of cows - Suzanne insists that the following footprint matched however...
...under-sole inspection proved inconclusive

Ty Newydd Burial Chamber

This picture is the best angle for this monument as there are two substantial brick columns holding it up

Bit of a drive, now, up to Holy Island, and Trefignath Burial Chamber, visible from the road but longer to get to

This was due to be our last planned stop before heading off to the Hotel, but we passed the Ty Mawr Standing Stone to get to Trefignath,
so stopped on the way to the hotel to take a picture (it was in a sheep field with no obvious access),

Ate in Rosneigr at Mojo's - Fish and Chips - £17 for smallest and thinnest fish ever in gluten free batter and cold peas.

We'd passed a burial chamber en-route to Trefignath, it was nearby, so another quick change of plan...

Had a swift half in the local pub before heading off to our overnight hotel - these are they....

Northernmost Pub in Wales and the Northernest Hotel in Wales, too

Then overnight at the most northerly Holtel

The previous candidate for mot Northern Hotel was the Bull Bay Hotel

Sunday

Driving back to Cemaes Bay we passed a proposed solar power project, a wind farm and, in the distance, Wylfa Nuclear Power Station.
Three different power sources - A proposed (solar), an operating one (wind), and a decommissioned nuclear plant.
