Day 17: Kona coffeeland and departure

Our last day, but we don't fly out till late on so we intend to make a day of it - no surprises there, then.

Looking for somewhere to eat is always a bind, so we were pleased to be positive for once and decide to have breakfast at Wendy's. Bad choice - they don't do breakfast, so its closed. We eat at Steak Sizzlers or was it Sizzling Steaks - anyway, somewhere that you wouldn't normally associate with breakfast.

We're in Kona so we have to da a coffee plantation tour and Greenway's win. They are also a fruit farm so there was more to sample than just coffee - papaya, banana, avocado... The tour was interesting, too.

It was a mad dash back to the hotel to check out but we managed it for the 12 noon deadline. Time now for a daylight tour of Kona:

Back to the hotel pool for a shower and general freshen up before heading off for the airport and return the car - Alamo, of course, showed no interest in any problems we had.

We're early enough for the flight before the one we're booked on so we're off to Honolulu sooner than we thought, where we check then wait 4 hours for the flight to Minneapolis St Paul, via San Francisco.
